25 Things About Me

My inspiration is other artist but im more of an adaptive artist sometimes i just wing it and see how it goes which goes really well with mixed media art. I wanted the audience to focus mainly on the chains since it was what took me the longest to do. I wanted them to question why the chain was broken. Main difficulty was starting from scratch but i did overcome it by just focusing. Definetly shouldve done the compisition better and i shouldve made it easier to tell that the chain itself was broken. Why i think that is cus you cant tell where the items are and its hard to see that the chain is broken. I had to research the chains and how they luster/shine. I really like how the background and chains cameout so i would thats my most sucessful parts.

Spooky painting

Its a silly ghost painting of me sitting on the railing in the hallways. One of the more noticable things in the painting is color value and shading. Also used perception art. I dont think anything nescarylly inspired me aside from other students art works and examples. One of my goals for future artworks is I wanna learn how to paint sheets better also just blending in the stairs shadows to look more natural would be nice. Another thing ive noticed is idk how to make like light rays and clothing/shoes which is another thing I wanna learn in the future. Main thing i learned is how to do perspective art better and also about sheet paintings in general.

 Fruit and Veggie Painting

Painting of a fruit or veggie that has sentimental valuue to us. I chose a rambutan i gave it like a hairy texture and a branch for the fruit to hang off. I used purple and red to make that magenta/maroon color. I wanted the background to contrast with the fruit so i mixed black and white to get a really dark grey for the background. it also helps the fruit pop out more. Something i wanna work on in the future is the realism aspect to the actual thing. Which i will work on in my next painting.

Anything But a Canvas

I decided to paint of my black hood for this assignment. Its a really basic boring hood so i wanted to add a design on it. I painted a cherry blossom tree using fabric markers. I used the black marker for the tree trunks and branches. Then added some silver on some parts of the tree just to make it pop out a bit more. For the leaves i used pink and red markers and used a dot like art style  Blended the colors to get a contrast of pinks.. Then made it look like the tree is on a cliff and added a moon behind it.  Then added falling petals to make it look cooler.

Beyond the border ink and painting assignment

I drew a blue ring octopus because of its uniqueness and my love for octopodidae.

The painting techniques I used were color mixing like on the sand for example I mixed brown and yellow to get a gold like color which i think came out pretty well. I then used salt to give the sand a glitter like look. For the ink portion i used stippling, hatching, cross hatching and scupling.

Paint Pouring,Marbling,Smoke and Bubble art

Paint Pouring I layered red and blue with some pink I felt the colors went really well with each other. After that I made the sky by mixing blue purple and black I really wanted to get a night sky look after that I painted a moo, dead tree and grass to finish the night like feel.

The smoke art was harder than I thought because the soot was hard to get onto the paper and I even ended up acidently burning 2 holes into the paper. But I then got and idea to erase the soot and make a skull which I thought came out pretty well.

For Marbling I put blue and purple because I really like cool colors I then used a stick to get the wave like pattern. The center of it made it look like a splash in the waves. So I added a dolphin to make it look like it jumped out the water. Then made a blue sky with golden clouds.

For bubble art I used blue green and purple. I then painted a space like sky mixing blue, purple and black. After I mixed white with some water to make it more fluid then I splattered it on the sky to give a star like look.

Cubism Painting

I decided to make my cubism painting chess pieces floating in like a dark void. The reason i chose chess pieces is because i really love the game and been playing since i was in 6th grade. I wanted the chess pieces to look kinda corrupted and broken so i esed some lines and enlarged some parts of it. Use a white poscow marker to create more lines making them look more unique. I mixed blue, purple and black for the background. The dark background helps the pieces stand out in the void. After i used a bronze sharpie on the black pieces so they don't blend into the background and a thick black sharpie on the white pieces which makes them pop alot more. For the chess board i made it look like part of the board was flying upwards. I made sure to make the board diffrent shades and scrambled to add to the abstractness of the painting. I painted gold on the black pieces and top of the board to make them look cooler.
